MR ANGRY - DAY 1 & 2 RECAP

MR ANGRY - MONTREAL TO BOSTON TO ATLANTIC CITY

Woof! Day 1 and Day 2 of Bullrun... interesting happenings to say the least. So, here's the low down from the Mr. Angry's mouth. At the starting line in Montreal it just happened to be the 68' Dodge Charger of yours truly and the Ferrari 550 of Mr. Richard Rawlings. Now, before the start there was an announcement a small bet (50K) was placed between Team Rieke and Rawlings that Rawlings couldn't beat the coast to coast record of 32 hours 51 minutes. So the bet was placed at the amount of 50K and Rawlings was off and as of right now Rawlings is kicking ass and taking names. God speed Mr. Rawlings...

So the start came for the first one... Montreal to Boston and we were able to hook up with Marcus - this super guy who worked for Lojak and took us a to a secluded border crossing where we were able to blaze through the boarder with no worries. From then on it was smooth sailing all the way to Boston were stayed at the Intercontenial Hotel and just kicked back relaxed. Oh yea, we ran with the 77' Trans Am of Team Cockney who are both rock stars. The T/A was in our mirror and I just couldn't help but think about Burt Reynolds in good ole' Smokey and the Bandit. It was all good times and speed. We also ran with Lamont in the 911 and aside from being a great guy is one hell of a great driver.

So, today we left Boston and boogied down to Vinyard 48 on Long Island, NY... now, I grew up here, this is my home turf so for Team Charger it was all gas pedal and fuel stops... until that is, we got close to Queens. I mean I live there, so on principle we had to stop at my house where I took a shower and changed into some nice new cloths and became a human being again. The route card had everyone else sitting in traffic, but again, my Island, my town, my run. We were able to relax and still get to Atlantic City (did I mention that is where we were going?) with no problems and we were nice and relaxed. Life was good, dinner was good, the drinks were good and hell... the Charger was good.

More on all stuff Bullrun tomorrow... Cheers...

Hey, we saw you guys on Rt. 95 south in the Danvers, MA area on Saturday. We were in the blue Subaru STI with the red stripe that passed you a few times. We had just watched Bull Run on Spike that afternoon, so we recognized the car right away. Just wanted to wish you good luck and have a great run!

I love the shots of the Charger rolling through town. How does that work, with Pete and Rich splitting Wingman duties? ...I guess the back seat is bigger than it would be in a modern car...Advantage Charger...I bet Rich has plenty of 1-liners...hope Pete is writing them down.
